TRANSFORMATION ARTS Systems of Mind/Body Fitness

What is Mind/Body Fitness?
We may define Mind/Body Fitness as the experience of maintaining mental and physical health as it relates to adapting to change, aging, and affecting degenerating conditions.

What are Internal Arts?
Internal Arts, in this case Yoga, Tai Chi/Chi Gung and meditation, by definition refers to developing ourselves from inside, learning to balance the unseen, intangible human qualities we share, with functional ways to:

  • Relate to our Mind/Body
  • Honor, care and respect others
  • Sensitivity as we move through changing environments
  • Options, clarity and interaction; what to do, how, and when to do it.

Learning how to learn from inside, starts with a sincere relationship to our selves, the ability to trouble-shoot, break-through capacity as it relates to problem solving, and the continued willingness to relate to growth...“We are not old dogs who can’t learn new things”.  More accurately, “We are spirits having a Human experience, capable of continuous evolution”. Higher levels of development show the ability to learn from our selves, others, and our changing environments: self-initiated learning. That said, we move on to the practices themselves with the perspective that each system was developed as a living lineage, a “jewel” passed from generation to generation, that continues to be refined and polished. These living lineages belong to humanity and may be practiced to return our connection to ourselves, our loved ones, and the environments we share. The passing of Lineage Traditions is based in all cultures and represents the attributes that we share, literally, “what is common among all peoples”. Natural Intelligence, or what is referred to as common sense, is our abilities and capacities that we are born with. Post birth education, literally, everything we learn after we are born, is to be used in harmony with Natural Intelligence, not over-ride it. Common sense may be related to our innate feeling sense and what we “just know” without asking. We may say that it is our own truth and it can carry a “structure of flexibility” so that as we grow and develop, so too may it change with our own personal evolution in progress. There are many vehicles available for growth and evolution but it is important to understand basic principles of balance and interaction, to be able to hear our own truth , and to be connected to our Natural Intelligence. Internal Arts were created as that teaching; a “bread crumb trail, back to the middle path of life” that we all walk together.
